Orthopaedic Surgery


Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics, is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine conditions, sports injuries, degenerative conditions, infections, tumors, and natural diseases. An orthopedic surgeon is trained in the opinion and treatment of spinal diseases, arthritis, sports injuries, trauma, and fractures. An orthopedic surgeon may complete fresh training with a Spine Fellowship and specialize in chine surgery.
